Opening night was a blast! The gallery was packed wall to wall with people the entire night! I saw a lot of familiar faces from the Chicago Art Open and also got the chance to meet some new ones. I exhibited the piece "Road Walkers" as part of the group exhibition.
Here are a few photos from the opening reception. The show will be up until the end of February.
Enjoy!

I started off the year with a commission for the NFL super star Justin Tuck from the New York Giants. It was a gift for him on his wedding day. We have spoken since, and there is a plan for another piece in the works.
Toriano Terrell was introduced to me through mutual friend and artist
Esteban del Valle. He is a Kansas City kid who migrated to Chicago
late 2001. Currently, he is working on some new tracks for his second
solo album following his debut of "Kid Called Computer".
"In a world made up of sounds and vibrations, he captures this feeling and transforms it into his own thoughtful and eclectic, downtempo blend of music. Really laid back guitar lines, hip-hop based loops, and various other strange sounds. Kid Called Computer is an album for those who just enjoy music, and appreciate those who steer clear of the norm. Pick it up..................you might like it."
Mia Park, better known as "Miss Mia!" on the program Chic-a-go-go (airs on local cable access), has been the face of the show since 1998. I met her through The Galaxie Art Jam, and was thrilled to do a portrait of her nephew.
Ty Capistrant recently returned from a 3 month trip through
Patagonia. He wanted a piece to commemorate his journey and the people
he encountered along the way. We used a little over 10 images within the piece to help document his story.

Ravenshood: Art in the Corridor
Ravenshood featured artists that live within the Ravenswood district. It was a juried show featuring myself, Mary Phelan, Grant Wm Thye, and Breck Young. I had the pleasure meeting with some of the members from the collective to discuss more in depth our personal missions as artist in Chicago.
