"Within this exhibition, I take the audience on a journey with a few individuals I met while in Georgia to my more recent travels through a small village in Southern Sudan.  As a tribute to my grandfather Rey Scott (WWII photographer and filmmaker), some of my portraits include a few of his powerful images from his time spent while filming in China."

Friday, October 2, 2009 7:30pm - "Under the Viaduct" an exhibition by the mural artist of West Town

Curated by Darci O'Connell and Victoria Nicodemus, the exhibition will feature the 12 mural artist of Chicago Avenue in conjunction with Chicago Artists Month and the West Town beautification project.

Move to Pilsen

After almost 2 years at my studio in Lakeview, I have decided to relocate to a Podmarjersky property as part of the Chicago Artist District in Pilsen. 

Pilsen is home to numerous artist studios and galleries, with a reputation of being a living and working environment focused on the arts.

My new space will be featured as one of the participating artist of the Pilsen Art Walk and Open Studio Event September 25-27. Please stop by and check it out! (additional info above)

Two of my pieces "Brothers" and "Heroe" were selected for the Columbia College Chicago 2009 publication of the South Loop Review: Creative Nonfiction + Art.  I met the editor Renee Hanson at the Image and Word show and was delighted when she asked me to be featured in the upcoming edition.

The South Loop Review is a dynamic publication with a greater emphasis on the non-linear narratives and experimental forms of creative nonfiction.  It's paired with images of narrative photography and illustrative essays.  You should check it out!
